We opened The Park Gardens as a traditional nursery school in 1992. After extensive refurbishments in 2015 we now provide full and sessional daycare within a nursery school environment 51 weeks a year. The large bright hall has direct access into a safe secure garden and our lovely team of experienced staff offer the children a varied and stimulating day within a carefully structured programme. There is also a cosy classroom offering a quiet space for reading stories, small group activities and after lunch naptime for our younger children.

Throughout the year different themes are introduced (e.g. dinosaurs, the seaside, farm animals) incorporating colour, shape, number and letter recognition. During the week the children participate in a variety of activities including ballet, music, singing, Mandarin, tennis, cooking, sports and lots of messy play with sand & water, play-dough, clay, junk modelling, painting and craft activities.

The children enjoy nature walks in the local park and outings in the nursery minibus are arranged throughout the year.

Once a week the older nursery children bring a packed lunch as part of pre-school preparations. These sessions are more work based and include a simple reading scheme.

Our menus are created with the help of our nutritionist with the emphasis on good healthy seasonal food and a varied diet. All our food 100% sugar free & organic and freshly cooked daily. We make our own bread and provide organic milk and filtered water.

During the year parents are invited to social occasions such as coffee mornings, sports day, concerts, plays and fund raising activities.

Visitors are all very welcome. Please call our manager and she will be delighted to show you around.
